The agreement of intent for the supply of helicopters was signed by Aurora and the Russian Helicopters holding last week during the international exhibition of the helicopter industry HeliRussia 2022. We are talking about the supply of 10 Mi-171A2 and 11 Mi-171A3. According to the company, the delivery is planned to be carried out from 2023 to 2026.
In April, the European Union blacklisted Aurora Airlines, as well as 20 other Russian carriers, for allegedly failing to meet international safety standards. They were banned from flying to the airports of the EU states and over its territory.
On February 28, the EU, against the backdrop of the start of a Russian special operation to protect Donbass, completely closed its airspace to the Russian Federation. In response, Rosaviatsia restricted flights over Russian territory to airlines from 36 countries.
