95% of domestic parts: the capital received three new trams

Kyiv received three new three-section trams, even despite the war, the city is working to increase the tram fleet.

According to Ukrinform, the Kyiv City State Administration reports this in Telegram.

“The 26-meter three-section low-floor tram can carry about 260 passengers. Each carriage is equipped with 59 seats and an air conditioning unit with air conditioning.

The KSCA emphasized that 95% of the parts are Ukrainian-made. This makes the tram more profitable than foreign analogues and develops Ukrainian manufacturers.

The trams that the city received earlier are already running along the left-bank network of the capital, and by the end of 2023, Kyiv will receive 20 tram cars manufactured by Tatra-Yug LLC.

As Ukrinform reported, the authorities in Kyiv will continue to monitor the demand for public transport routes and increase the number of rolling stock.

On May 16, fares in the metro and surface public transport were returned in Kyiv. Also in the capital, the interval of movement of metro trains was reduced.
