In the Lugansk region, at one of the mines in Lysichansk, rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine localized a coal fire in a closed warehouse.
Serhiy Gaidai, head of the Luhansk regional military administration, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“Last night, May 23, the State Emergency Service prevented the spread of flames in a closed warehouse with coal in one of the mines in Lisichansk. It took 8 tons of water to prevent the catastrophe,” the head of the region wrote. He posted photos from the scene of the fire.

As reported, the Lugansk region is constantly under fire from the Russian army, many residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, educational institutions have been destroyed in the region, and hospitals have been damaged.
There is practically no water, gas and energy supply in the region; public utility facilities have been destroyed.
