Serhiy Shvets, an employee of the energy-repair unit of the Zaporizhzhya NPP, who was shot by the Russian military the day before in his own apartment, underwent a 10-hour operation and remains in serious condition.
The mayor of Energodar, Dmitry Orlov, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“The condition of Sergei Shvets, who was shot on May 23 in his own apartment, remains grave. Numerous penetrating bullet wounds incompatible with life, significant blood loss. But Sergei survived the 10-hour operation. The miracle that our doctors did leaves hope for the recovery of the worker of the Zaporizhzhya NPP,” Orlov said.
As reported, on May 23, armed Russian soldiers broke into the apartment of an employee of one of the subdivisions of the Zaporizhzhya NPP and, without explanation, opened fire on him with automatic weapons. The man with multiple wounds was taken to the city hospital Energodar.
