Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the attitude of Ukrainians towards the aggressor country has deteriorated sharply – now 92% of respondents have a bad attitude towards the Russian Federation and only 2% – well.

Literally, KIIS: “Now only 2% of citizens have a good attitude towards Russia, while 92% have a bad attitude. However, it is important to understand that 2% is about 500,000 people, that is, it still retains a fairly significant number in absolute terms, despite the obvious facts, a positive attitude towards the aggressor.”
Details: Sociologists note that among the respondents who had a bad attitude towards Russia at the beginning of February, 97% continue to have it, and 3% have now chosen the “hard to say” option.
At the same time, the views of those who had a good attitude towards Russia and those who had an indefinite attitude towards it changed dramatically. In particular, 80% of those who used to have a good attitude towards Russia now have a bad attitude towards it.
Less than one in ten retained a positive attitude towards Russia, although another 12% now decided to answer “undecided.”
Among those who had an indefinite attitude towards Russia, 97% now have a bad attitude towards it.

According to sociologists, in all regions of Ukraine, the vast majority of residents have a bad attitude towards Russia, in particular, in the South, 90% have a bad attitude, in the East – 85% (while in early February, respectively, 45% and 53% had a good attitude towards Russia) .
Relatively more than others continue to treat Russia well in the East – 4%.
The absolute majority of citizens – 82% – who continue to live in the territory occupied after February 24, have a negative attitude towards Russia, and only 6% have a positive attitude towards it.
The study took place on May 13-18. 2,000 respondents over the age of 18 living in all regions of Ukraine (except for the Autonomous Republic of Crimea) were interviewed using the method of telephone interviews based on a random sample of mobile numbers.
The survey was conducted with adult citizens of Ukraine who at the time of the survey were residing on the territory of Ukraine, which was controlled by the Ukrainian authorities until 24 February. The sample did not include residents of territories that were temporarily not controlled by the Ukrainian authorities until February 24 (Crimea, certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions), and the survey was not conducted with citizens who went abroad after February 24.
Formally, under normal circumstances, the statistical error of such a sample (with a probability of 0.95 and taking into account the design effect of 1.1) did not exceed 2.4% for indicators close to 50%, 2.1% for indicators close to 25%, 1.5% – for indicators close to 10%, 1.1% – for indicators close to 5%.
In war conditions, in addition to the indicated formal error, a certain systematic deviation is added. At the same time, sociologists note that, despite this, the results obtained still remain highly representative and make it possible to fairly reliably analyze the public mood of the population.
