Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko said that about 500,000 additional tickets for trains in the direction of southern Russia will go on sale in the coming days.
In an interview with RIA Novosti on Thursday, May 26, Chernyshenko, following the results of a meeting on preparing for the summer tourist season, transport accessibility of the southern regions of the country and monitoring the cost of children’s vouchers, said that the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory and Crimea remain the most in demand.
He noted that Russian Railways is increasing the number of trains from Moscow and other regions of the country, which previously had no direct connection with the peninsula.
Chernyshenko stressed that the Ministry of Transport will continue to work out the technological possibility to expand the capacity to resorts popular with Russians. In particular, regular bus service between Crimea and Adler, Caucasian Mineralnye Vody, Volgograd and Stavropol will appear this season, the 360 TV channel notes.
He recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to ensure clear and stable passenger traffic to the south of the country during the summer holidays in the required volume.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Transport Vitaly Savelyev, representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Federal Tourism Agency, Russian Railways, the ONF and other interested departments, as well as Russian regions.
Also on May 26, the Moskva city news agency reported that more than 5,000 tickets were on sale for train No. 197/198 from Moscow to Simferopol on departure dates from May 29 to June 10 inclusive. As noted in the press service of the Grand Service Express company, additional tickets from Crimea for similar dates will appear in the near future.

On May 25, the head of the State Council of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, said that the region would receive at least 6 million tourists during the 2022 holiday season. According to him, the holiday season on the peninsula will be held as usual. At the same time, he noted that due to the decline in the number of guests, the income of entrepreneurs may be lower compared to last year.
On May 18, the Federal Tourism Agency said that the increase in prices for holidays in Russian resorts this summer does not exceed seasonal fluctuations. In an interview with the Zvezda TV channel, the head of the department, Zarina Doguzova, noted that Rostourism, together with the Federal Antimonopoly Service, also monitors individual facts of unreasonable price increases and suppresses them.
