UEFA commented on the reasons for the postponed start of the Champions League final match in Paris.
The match, in which Real Madrid beat Liverpool 1-0, was postponed by 36 minutes. Problems arose with the fans getting into the stands of the Stade de France stadium.
The operation of the turnstiles for Liverpool fans was paralyzed by thousands of people who tried to get into the game with fake tickets. They were not read, which led to pandemonium.
Some of the fans eventually tried to get into the stadium by climbing over the fence. This was done by fans of both teams. The police intervened, using tear gas to disperse the violators.
UEFA said the situation would be looked into in detail with the French police and the government.
