Ukraine will receive new heavy weapons from Slovakia – eight Zuzana 2 self-propelled howitzers of 155 mm caliber. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Slovakia Yaroslav Nagy.
According to him, Ukraine and Slovakia signed a contract for the supply of Zuzana 2 guns. Nagy separately thanked Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov for his personal participation in the negotiations. The exact timing of the delivery of artillery is not called.
REFERENCE. The Zuzana 2 is an 8×8 self-propelled artillery mount based on the previous version of the Zuzana, caliber 155mm. The maximum firing range is 41 km, the crew consists of three people, and the automatic charging system allows you to fire six shots per minute.
Earlier, Slovakia transferred S-300 air defense systems to Ukraine, agreed to repair and modernize Ukrainian military equipment, and it was also reported about possible deliveries of T-72 tanks to Ukraine.
In recent days, Ukraine has agreed on the supply of artillery from different countries – France will transfer another shipment of Caesar howitzers, Poland has already transferred 155 mm KRAB self-propelled guns, and the United States will supply another batch of M777 howitzers and HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems.
