The Razer Barracuda and Barracuda Pro gaming headsets are upgraded versions of last year’s Barracuda X. The USB Type-C adapter provides wireless speeds up to 2.4GHz.
The Barracuda Pro model offers active noise cancellation (ANC) with beamforming microphones. The headset is also equipped with a THX achromatic audio amplifier, which provides high quality sound. Unlike woven material in other models, Barracuda Pro’s exquisite leatherette ear cushions are very comfortable.
The new Razer gaming headsets also feature larger 50mm drivers (the Barracuda X uses 40mm drivers). Razer SmartSwitch Dual Wireless technology allows you to connect to two devices at the same time, and switch between them using touch controls.
Razer says the new headsets are well suited for gaming. The biocellulose drivers in the Barracuda Pro reduce harmonic distortion, she says. Other features available on the models help enhance the overall sound experience.
The Barracuda and Barracuda Pro gaming headsets are available on the Razer official website for $159.99 and $249.99 respectively.
