Chinese telecommunications company Huawei has begun closing stores in Russia. At the moment, 4 out of 19 stores have closed. The trend is expected to continue in the near future.
The store at Rivera Shopping Center in Moscow was the first to close. It happened on 28 February. Work was then halted by outlets in Ufa, Novokuznetsk and Rostov-on-Don.
Possible factors include depletion of warehouses in the event of a disruption in the supply chain, as well as declining demand for the company’s products in Russia.
Earlier, Huawei reduced its supply of telecommunications equipment to Russia. The company is one of the leaders in the world in the 5G communication technology market. Russian mobile operators are starting to have difficulty concluding new contracts.
