A resident of the village of Zhuravlevka in the Belgorod region, who was injured the day before due to shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has died. This was announced on May 27 by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov.
“We are in trouble again. The woman who was wounded yesterday died of her wounds,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
In addition, the governor added, as a result of the shelling on May 26, a man was also injured. He is currently in critical condition.
“Yesterday, another wounded man, quite seriously, is in critical condition,” Gladkov said in a statement.
Prior to this, on May 26, Gladkov reported that the condition of the woman who had suffered during the new shelling of the Belgorod village of Zhuravlevka was extremely serious.
At the same time, the authorities of the Belgorod region decided to ban entry to the border village of Zhuravlyovka.
The day before, this settlement was also shelled by Ukraine. Then one resident received a deep shrapnel wound. The victim was provided with medical assistance. As a result of the incident, households were damaged.
On May 25, the head of the region announced the extension of the “yellow” level of terrorist threat in the region until June 9. It was first introduced on 11 April. Since then, the “yellow” level has been extended every two weeks due to provocations from the Ukrainian side.
