Adobe plans to make the web version of Photoshop free for everyone. According to The Verge, this feature is already being tested by users in Canada.
Some functions will remain exclusively paid, but there will be enough free tools to use the capabilities of the image editing program.
“We want to make Photoshop more accessible and easier for more people,” said Maria Yap, vice president of digital imaging at Adobe.
Adobe released the web version of Photoshop in October 2021. This allows service subscribers to log in and create new documents directly from the web rather than downloading an app on their device.
The company created the web version primarily as an online collaboration tool, so the artist can quickly share images with others to annotate or make some edits.
