An AMD executive has confirmed new details about the Ryzen 7000 series of processors, such as the maximum number of cores and TDP.
It is reported that the older model of the AMD Ryzen 7000 line will have 16 cores and a TDP of 170 watts. It is also noted that the Ryzen 7000F series without an integrated graphics processing unit (iGPU) probably will not. RDNA2 graphics will be standard on all models.
AMD also confirmed that the Threadripper series is “not going anywhere.” This means that we will see new Ryzen Threadripper processors, possibly based on socket SP6.
In addition, the new AMD processors are reported to support the AVX 512 VNNI and BFLOAT16 instruction sets to accelerate AI models.
