An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 occurred in the morning, October 2, near Crete. According to the Volcano Discovery portal, the first tremors began at 06:04 (coincides with Moscow time).
The epicenter lay at a depth of 10 km.
At the same time, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the epicenter was located 153 km southeast of Heraklion at a depth of 2 km.
There were no reports of casualties or damage.
