Errol Spence Jr. vs. Yordenis Ugas, for Spences’ WBC and IBF welterweight titles and Ugas’ WBA “super” welterweight title.Unbeaten WBC and IBF Welterweight World Champion Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr. and WBA Welterweight World Champion Yordenis Ugas will square off in a welterweight championship unification showdown.
One of the most talented boxers on the planet, Errol Spence Jr, is set to take on Cuban champion Yordenis Ugas with three belts on the line. Spence Jr made his name in 2017 when he came to the home of Sheffield United to defeat Kell Brook for the IBF title.
Since then, Spence Jr has gone on to beat everyone put in front of him, with impressive wins over Shawn Porter, Danny Garcia, Mikey Garcia and Lamont Peterson to remain undefeated with a 27-0 record.
But on Saturday night, he’ll face a tough opponent in Ugas. The Cuban comes in off the back of an impressive victory over Manny Pacquiao – the last fight of his illustrious career – to retain his WBA title. Spence Jr comes in as the favourite, though, with Ugas losing to Shawn Porter in 2019.
