Biden’s Approval Ratings Crash Again in the US

US President Joe Biden’s public approval rating has been falling for the third week in a row, dropping to 39%. This is evidenced by the results of a public opinion poll conducted by Reuters/Ipsos.

It is specified that this figure is approaching the lowest value for the entire time of his tenure as president.

According to the poll, more than half of US residents do not approve of Biden’s work. This opinion was shared by 56% of respondents.

According to the authors of the study, Biden’s approval rating has remained below 50% since August 2021, which means that the Democratic Party in the November 8, 2022 midterm elections may lose control of at least one house of Congress.

Dissatisfaction with Biden within his own party is one of the reasons for his decline in popularity. Among the supporters of the Democratic Party, 74% are supporters of the incumbent president, while in August 2021 they were 85%. At the same time, only 11% of Republicans support Biden.

It is noted that the Reuters / Ipsos survey is conducted online in English throughout the United States. The latter was attended by 1,005 adults, of whom 443 supported Democrats and 364 Republicans. The margin of error is four percentage points.

The Politico newspaper reported on June 5 that the cascade of problems facing the United States has caused a moral crisis in the White House, and Biden and his aides are frustrated by their own inability to turn the tide. Among the challenges facing the United States are rising fuel prices, global inflation, a Russian special operation in Ukraine, a potentially resurgent coronavirus pandemic, and the inability of Congress to tighten gun control in the country, the publication noted.

On June 2, TV presenter Greg Gutfeld on Fox News aired that Biden would not finish until the end of his presidential term. This conclusion was made against the backdrop of rising fuel prices and other socio-economic problems that led to a sharp drop in the rating of the American leader.
