Apple adds to the list of obsolete products

In June, Apple plans to declare obsolete a whole galaxy of products. This was reported by the thematic resource MacRumors with reference to an internal document sent by the company to Apple Stores and authorized service centers.

The original iPad Pro, which debuted in November 2015, as well as the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will fall into the category of “obsolete”. By “obsolete” Apple means products that ceased to be available for sale more than 5 or less than 7 years ago. Repairs are still offered for them, if the necessary spare parts are available.

Interestingly, according to the document, Apple TV HD is also planned to be included in this category, despite the fact that Apple still continues to sell this set-top box.

In addition, Apple will add to the list of “decommissioned products” smartphone iPhone 4s. The product is considered Apple to have gone out of business if the company stopped selling it more than 7 years ago. There is no official repair for such devices and Apple does not provide spare parts for them.
