Roskomnadzor, at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, blocked the website of the human rights center “Memorial”, Interfax reports.
Access to the memohrc.org website is restricted in Russia at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation dated May 28. The blocking began on the same day – May 28, follows from the data of the Roskomsvoboda organization.
Interfax sent a request to the RKN about the reasons for the blocking.
International Memorial and all its divisions were liquidated by the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation on December 28, 2021. The next day, the Moscow City Court liquidated the human rights center “Memorial”. Both of these organizations were previously recognized in Russia as foreign agents. The appeals were rejected.
