Russian aviation destroyed the center of electronic intelligence in the Nikolaev region. This was announced on Thursday, May 26, by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov.

“In the area of ​​​​the settlement of Dneprovskoe, Mykolaiv region, the Ukrainian center of electronic intelligence was destroyed, including 11 military personnel of the combat crew, as well as 15 foreign specialists of engineering and operational staff who arrived with protection,” he said.

Konashenkov also explained that during the day, high-precision missiles hit 48 areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and two artillery batteries.

In addition, Russian troops destroyed two ammunition depots in the Nikolaevka and Berestovoe districts of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). Also, the major general added that in the area of ​​​​Nikolaevka, Russian troops destroyed the Ukrainian launcher of the Osa-AKM anti-aircraft missile system.

A day earlier, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed the production workshops of the Motor Sich plant in Zaporozhye, which produced aircraft engines for military aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including drones. On May 24, Russian aviation destroyed a large warehouse of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Razdolovka, where shells for American M-777 howitzers were stored.

On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. Moscow explained that the tasks of the special operation include the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, the implementation of which is necessary to ensure the security of Russia. The decision was made against the backdrop of aggravation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
