“Malka” has maximum accuracy without errors, gunners continue.

After firing, the battery must quickly leave the position and leave the line of return fire – in less than four minutes.

The servicemen are on alert around the clock, they do not leave their positions.

The correspondent also showed the camp, which was justified by Russian artillerymen not far from their positions.

On May 26, Izvestia correspondent Daniil Levin showed the use by the Russian military of a self-propelled artillery mount during the cleansing of the Luhansk People’s Republic. Self-propelled guns are used to hit distant targets – a projectile fired from a distance of 5 km from the line of contact is capable of reaching the rear of the enemy, he said.

A day earlier, Izvestia journalist Stanislav Grigoriev captured an artillery battle between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the fighters of the Donetsk People’s Republic. The film crew did not have time to leave the position after the mortar attack from the Russian Federation and was under return fire.

On February 24, Russia announced the start of a special operation to protect Donbass. As Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov clarified, the special operation has two goals – the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine. According to him, both of these aspects pose a threat to the Russian state and people.

The operation began against the backdrop of the situation in the Donbass that worsened in mid-February. The authorities of the DPR and LPR reported increased shelling by Ukrainian troops, announced the evacuation of civilians in the Russian Federation and asked for recognition of independence.

On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a corresponding decree.
