“During the inspection of the open territory of the Azovstal plant for the presence of explosive objects, an explosion of an explosive object (explosive object. – Ed.) occurred, four employees of the pyrotechnic work detachment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DPR were injured,” the message says.

Two sappers were taken to the hospital in a satisfactory condition. One employee is on outpatient treatment. The fourth sapper was operated on, doctors fix a stable serious condition in him.

The day before, Izvestia obtained footage from an action camera mounted on the helmet of a sapper working on the territory of Azovstal. It was reported that a tube from the British NLAW anti-tank guided missile was found in one of the bunkers. The militants stuffed it with TNT checkers. In another room, sappers found syringes that explode when pressed. They were stuffed with an unknown white substance.

On May 20, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the complete liberation of the territory of the Azovstal plant. According to the agency, since May 16, during the Russian special operation, 2,439 militants of the Azov group and military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have surrendered.

Later, Russian sapper units began to carry out engineering reconnaissance and demining from explosive objects on the territory of the plant. Specialized armored demining vehicles are involved in work in the most dangerous areas.

Russia continues the special operation to protect the Donbass, the beginning of which President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24. The key goals of the Russian military are the denazification and demilitarization of the Kyiv regime. This is necessary to ensure the security of the Russian state and people, the Kremlin said.
