Ex-commander of the Airborne Forces revealed the instructions of the United States to the Polish authorities

The US administration will not allow Poland to send its troops to Ukraine. This was announced on Saturday, May 28, by the former commander of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Georgy Shpak.

“Poland is part of NATO, and one shot from NATO towards Russia is the beginning of the Third World War. Everyone understands this, and I think Warsaw received a very clear command from Washington: not to take initiative, ”he explained in a conversation with RT.

At the same time, the interlocutor of the publication noted, unofficial assistance is possible: then “mercenaries, volunteers, volunteers” will arrive in Ukraine from Poland, but not soldiers.

Shpak stressed that in any case, this issue would be approached with the utmost caution so as not to provoke Russia into a direct confrontation. No one is interested in unleashing the Third World War, since, obviously, there will be no winners in it.

Earlier in the day, the UK said that Poland is going to a big lawsuit, providing assistance to Ukraine. It is noted that Russia may respond to activity in a NATO member country. Thus, further pumping up Ukraine with weapons threatens to seriously escalate the conflict.

In turn, on May 19, the Polish authorities announced their readiness to build military bases for NATO, where light units could be permanently deployed. As the Prime Minister of the country noted, Warsaw fears the territorial claims of Russia and is ready to defend both its own lands and the lands of its allies.

In parallel, Kyiv and Warsaw are taking steps towards rapprochement. So, on May 22, it became known that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky intends to submit to the Verkhovna Rada a bill that would establish a special legal status for Polish citizens on the territory of his country.

On the same day, Polish President Andrzej Duda arrived in Ukraine to discuss with Zelensky a possible transfer of control over the country’s western regions.

In addition, on May 13, the Polish president said that the international community should force Russia to pay Ukraine an indemnity. According to him, at the moment the Poles are doing everything to help the Ukrainians resist “Russian aggression.”

On May 5, Duda said that there would be “no more” borders between Poland and Ukraine in the future, and the citizens of these two states would be able to “live together on this land.”

At the end of February, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. A few days earlier, the situation in the region escalated significantly due to shelling by the Ukrainian military. The authorities of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics announced the evacuation of residents to the Russian Federation, and also turned to Moscow for help. On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees recognizing the independence of the DNR and LNR.
