Gas cylinder exploded in a residential building in Shatura near Moscow

The explosion of a gas cylinder occurred in Shatura’s residential building. This was reported in the city department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Moscow Region on Thursday, May 26.

The incident took place at 10:27 in one of the apartments of the house number 6 on Marshala Borzov Avenue.

“Apartment No. 23 – explosion of a gas cylinder. As a result, the glazing of the kitchen and the room was broken. The non-load-bearing partition between the two apartments has been destroyed,” a representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told the 360 ​​TV channel.

No one was hurt, according to a spokesman for the department. All causes and circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

Earlier, on May 8, four people were hospitalized, one refused medical attention after an explosion of a gas-air mixture in one of the houses of the Aist gardening association near Novosibirsk.

On April 11, five people were injured in a gas explosion in Stupino near Moscow. The incident took place on the fourth floor of a five-story building.

As a result of the incident, external panels collapsed on several floors, on the fourth – the internal partitions of two apartments were destroyed, on the third – the walls were warped, windows were broken. The prosecutor’s office organized an investigation.
