Six members of the Human Rights Council under the President of the Russian Federation asked the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov to explain on what basis prisoners with unserved terms are sent to war in Ukraine.

Details: The text says that information has been widely disseminated about sending thousands of prisoners throughout Russia with unserved terms, including for serious crimes, to participate in the so-called “special operation”. In particular, this was discussed on the air of the Rossiya-1 TV channel on August 7.
Human rights activists emphasize that it is possible to release a prisoner who has not served his sentence on the following grounds: pardon by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, amnesty by a resolution of the State Duma and parole by a court decision.
Literally: “In connection with the foregoing, we ask you to explain on what basis these persons are released from serving the conclusion, if this information is true?”
