King Charles III has arrived from Scotland in London and in a few hours will address the British for the first time as a monarch.

King Charles and his wife Camilla arrived in London by plane from Aberdeen in Scotland and went to Buckingham Palace, where Charles greeted people who came with flowers to honor the memory of Elizabeth II.

In London, Charles is to meet Prime Minister Liz Truss, and around 20:00 Kyiv time he will address the British for the first time as a monarch.

The official proclamation of Charles III as king will take place on Saturday morning at 10:00 local time (12:00 Kyiv time), the event will be broadcast on television for the first time.

As reported, the king expressed the wish that mourning in connection with the death of Elizabeth II continued, including seven days after the funeral.

The funeral will take place in about 10 days, with a possible date being 19 September. Therefore, the total duration of mourning will be approximately 17 days.
