The State Special Communications Service noted that in Donetsk region Ukrtelecom specialists are doing everything possible to maintain communication for local subscribers in the event of emergency power outages – the equipment works until the batteries or fuel for diesel generators are completely depleted.

Ukrtelecom has also completed the restoration of infrastructure damaged by Russian troops during the fighting in the Kyiv region. Working in coordination with the State Special Communications Service, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and units of the State Emergency Service since the beginning of April, the operator’s emergency crews carried out more than 100 repairs at their technological sites and made 126 trips to damaged communication lines. Engineers used about 4.5 thousand meters of new fiber-optic cable to restore access networks and replaced 20 units of decommissioned or completely destroyed station and line facilities.
