Netflix finally stopped working in Russia

The streaming platform Netflix from Friday, May 27, stopped working in the territory of the Russian Federation.

The press secretary of the company said this in a commentary to the AFP agency, Economic Truth reports.

The Netflix website and app have not been available since Friday, and now a Netflix spokesperson has confirmed that subscribers no longer have access to the content.

Netflix is the world’s leading streaming platform with 221.8 million subscribers at the end of 2021, but it was a minor player in Russia.

In April, the company stated to shareholders that it had lost 700,000 users with paid subscriptions as a result of leaving Russia.
