Netflix has finally stopped working in Russia

Earlier it became known that residents of Russia can not open the site of the platform and the application without the use of VPN.

A company spokesman said in a comment to AFP.

The Netflix site and app have been unavailable since Friday, and a Netflix spokesman has now confirmed that subscribers no longer have access to the content.

“This is a withdrawal from the Russian market, announced in March,” said a Netflix spokesman.

It is noted that the company has waited for the end of the current billing cycle to disconnect customers.

It will be recalled that Netflix suspended operations in Russia on March 6. At the same time, Russian users could continue to watch dubbed content and subtitles. But registration of new accounts and replenishment of accounts became inaccessible. This could only be done with a VPN.
