New train from Adler to Crimea will be launched from June 1

The new train from Adler to Crimea will be launched on June 1. This was announced on Sunday, May 29, by the embassy of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District.

“From June 1, a train from Adler will start running to Crimea. The schedule is designed in such a way that most of the trip falls at night and tourists do not spend daylight hours on travel, ”the answer to a request from RIA Novosti says.

It is noted that the issue of extending the high-speed train “Swallow” on the route Adler – Anapa – Kerch is currently being considered. It is also planned to launch daily sea passenger traffic between the cities of Gelendzhik, Novorossiysk, Kerch and Feodosia.

Earlier, on May 27, it became known that the Grand Service Express railway company opened additional sales for train No. 197/198, which runs from Moscow to Simferopol for departure dates from June 11 to June 30, inclusive in both directions. Additionally, passengers will be able to buy 18.2 thousand seats.

Grand Service Express is trying to increase the capacity of passengers on trains to the Crimea, adding, as far as possible, additional cars to the trains, the company told Izvestia.

The day before, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said that about 500,000 additional tickets for trains to the Russian south will be sold in the coming days. He clarified that Krasnodar and Crimean resorts remain the most popular. He also added that Russian Railways is increasing the number of trains from Moscow and other regions of the country that previously had no direct connection with the republic.

Chernyshenko said that this season there will be a regular bus service between Crimea and Adler, Caucasian Mineralnye Vody, Volgograd and Stavropol.

He recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to ensure stable passenger traffic to the south of the country in the summer.

On May 25, the head of the State Council of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, said that the region would receive at least 6 million tourists during the holiday season this year. However, due to the decline in the number of travelers, business incomes may be lower compared to 2021.
