Presented a new generation tank with the support of AI, built-in drone-Kamikadze and remote control

The German concern for the production of military equipment and weapons RheinMetall presented at the New Generation Tank at the EuroSatory-2022 exhibition.

The novelty was called Panther Kettenfahrzeug 51 or abbreviated Panther KF51. The tank is a successor to Leopard 2. It is made on the same chassis and weighs 59 tons. The fighting machine was equipped with a 130 mm gun, which according to the manufacturer, is 50% more efficient than a topical 120mm. It can also boast of increased shooting range and the ability to shoot with programmable shells. The charging machine accommodates up to 20 ammunition. The new gun is complemented by a 12.7mm machine gun.

Regarding the sight, it has a SEOSS optics with an angle of inspection of 360 degrees. Panther KF51 can also install a Drone Kamikadze Hero 120, which is produced by Uvision. Among the interesting in the novelty is still worth mentioning many systems of protection and support of artificial intelligence. The tank is planned in two versions: one will be guided by a crew of 3 people, and the other will become completely autonomous. That is, the tank can be controlled remotely. Panther KF51 will be able to develop speeds up to 65 km/h. The maximum margin of the novelty will be 500 km.

There is no exact Panthter KF51 supply, but it is said that the novelty is part of the German-French program of MGCS to replace LOOPARD 2 and Leclerc tanks. It is planned to be launched in 2035.
