Pushilin announced the need to speed up the operation in the north of the DPR

In the north of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR), a special operation needs to be accelerated due to the fact that Kyiv has cut off the water. This statement was made on Thursday, May 26, by the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, in an interview with RIA Novosti.

It is noted that Kyiv blocked the water for Donetsk, Makeevka, Gorlovka. In these cities now a difficult situation with water supply.

“The enemy at the first opportunity cut off the supply of water, and given the fact that there are six more lifts, six dangerous sections along the route to Slavyansk, we need to accelerate,” the head of the DPR said.

Pushilin also expressed confidence that “if the enemy has the opportunity to blow up any water supply units, the enemy will put it into practice.”

He stressed that it is necessary to have a margin of time to restore water supply before the cold season.

On May 14, it also became known that the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) blew up the gateway on the Myroniv reservoir in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR). The Mironovskoye reservoir, located near Svetlodarsk, is the third largest reservoir in the region. It was established in 1951 to service the Mironovskaya hydrorecirculation power plant. Now the lock structures are badly damaged and partially collapsed.

On February 24, Russia launched an operation to protect civilians in the Donbass. Moscow explained that the tasks of the special operation included demilitarization and denazification, the implementation of which is necessary to ensure the security of Russia.
