Foreign mercenaries were hiding in the bomb shelters of the Azot plant in Severodonetsk. On Saturday, June 25, an Izvestia correspondent was informed about this by one of the civilians, whom the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) held hostage in the industrial area.

“Foreign speech was. We have a communication center. And the mercenaries jumped in there. They spoke in English. They demanded: where they are, where they can hide, ”said an employee of the enterprise.

According to him, mercenaries were on duty on the floors. The Armed Forces of Ukraine placed tanks along the building and did not let anyone go, declaring “there was nothing left to stay.”

Earlier, on June 16, civilians who escaped from the bomb shelter of the Azot chemical plant spoke about foreign mercenaries at the enterprise. According to one of the women, foreign mercenaries did not allow civilians to leave the shelter, arguing that it was supposedly dangerous outside, because “there was a cleansing going on.”

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel of the People’s Militia of the LPR Andrey Marochko on June 25 reported on the complete transition of the industrial zone of the Azot enterprise under the control of the military of the republic.

Earlier that day, 800 civilians were evacuated from the territory of the Azot chemical plant. They thanked the military of Russia and the LPR for their help. On the same day, it became known that Ukrainian militants on the territory of the plant deliberately set fire to one of the buildings, in the basement of which there were 40 civilians. All of them have now been rescued and are awaiting evacuation.

On the eve of the troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard received an order to leave Severodonetsk, said the head of the administration of the Lugansk region controlled by the Ukrainian side, Sergei Gaidai. Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Butusov, who was with the militants, confirmed the retreat.

Russia continues the special operation to protect the Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24. The key goals of the Russian military are the denazification and demilitarization of the Kyiv regime. This is necessary to ensure the security of the Russian state and people, the Kremlin said.
