Russian PlayStation owners have filed a lawsuit against Sony

28 Russian PlayStation owners have filed a class action lawsuit against Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe Limited and Sony’s Moscow office in Moscow’s Khoroshiv District Court.

They demand to return them access to the PlayStation Store, as well as the ability to purchase video games and compensate for non-pecuniary damage – 280 million rubles, 10 million rubles each. The plaintiffs are convinced that the terms of use of Sony content and the legislation of the Russian Federation do not provide for the refusal to provide the service “in connection with the domestic and foreign policies of the state of residence and residence of users.”

According to them, “Sony’s unilateral refusal violates the rights of owners of consoles and services.” In early March, Sony stopped supplying its consoles and devices to Russia, as well as video games, and shut down the PlayStation Store.
