The engineering group first conducts reconnaissance of the area, then, after determining the degree of danger of ammunition, if possible, they are loaded into vehicles specially equipped for safe transportation with sandy flooring and armored plates. Thus, the mines are transported to the detonation range and placed in a trench, where they are detonated using TNT charges.

Sappers say they remove about 40 anti-tank mines from the ground every day on roads and agricultural fields.

In this case, damaged or faulty mines are destroyed on the spot with an overhead charge.

“We have done work to remove mines on the road. 38 minutes were filmed. We destroyed them on the spot with an overhead charge, ”Andrei, the commander of the engineering and reconnaissance patrol, told reporters.

According to him, if a tank runs into one of the anti-tank mines, there will be literally nothing left of the combat vehicle.
