Scotland head coach Clark: “I don’t think Ukraine will come and defend”

Scotland head coach Steve Clark shared his expectations from the match with Ukraine.

“It’s a really good team, I like them. Ukraine is playing to win. They prefer football to number one. I don’t think they will come and defend, on the contrary.

Ukrainians do well both in the transition to attack and in the transition, when they lose the ball and quickly try to take it away. This is a technically capable team.

They have two game systems, can play in two different ways. With three central defenders, or standard in a line of four defenders. I’m not quite sure where to start. But they do not know about our plan.

Shakhtar mainly plays in the final stages of international tournaments, while Dynamo plays in the European Cup group. These are high-level players, do not be fooled.

You may not recognize all the names or do not know the level of Ukrainian football, but they are always involved at a very good level, “said Clark.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 1. Start – at 21:45.
