Svitolina, Stakhovsky and Shevchenko came to Roland Garros to help Ukraine

Ukrainian sports stars Elina Svitolina, Serhiy Stakhovsky and Andriy Shevchenko met with the organizers of the second Grand Slam tennis tournament of the season – the French Open (“Roland Garros”).

The purpose of the meeting at the main arena of the tournament in Paris is to raise funds and discuss other options for helping Ukrainians during the war, Ukrinform reports.

“Thank you for supporting the Elina Svitolina Foundation,” Sergei Stakhovsky said. “She is trying to save the Ukrainian tennis youth.”

Earlier, Svitolina said that her fund raised 65,000 euros, which were directed to support young Ukrainian players.

Andriy Shevchenko became the first ambassador of the United24 global platform for the restoration and development of Ukraine.
