The expert explained the unwillingness of the Ukrainian military to continue serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The consumer attitude of the commanding staff and the lack of support are increasingly pushing the employees of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the decision to hand over their weapons. This was announced on Sunday, May 29, by military expert Andrei Koshkin.

“Today we see quite a lot of videos on social networks where servicemen of Ukrainian formations complain that they do not have ammunition, they have limited quantities of appropriate small arms, they are not supported by artillery, they are abandoned by commanders,” he explained to Izvestia.

In turn, according to the analyst, Russian troops are acting in a coordinated manner in accordance with clear and thoughtful instructions.

The successes of the RF Armed Forces in Donbass lead to the fact that the enemy’s communication network is gradually being destroyed, as a result of which the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lose contact with each other and are left without the necessary support, he noted.

On May 27, an employee of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Nikita Lazarenko, who is in Russian captivity, said that Ukrainian commanders write off those killed in battle as deserters and missing. Another captured, Ukrainian border guard Vladimir Huseynov, said that he and his colleagues were lured into the service by fraudulent means.

The day before, military expert Viktor Litovkin told Izvestia that after the defeat on the territory of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol, the morale of the Ukrainian troops was catastrophic – the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost their morale, and many realized that it was pointless to resist the Russian army. The Ukrainian army is also poorly supplied with food, the expert added.

On May 24, it became known that the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were refusing to carry out a combat mission. They recorded an appeal to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian troops Valery Zaluzhny, in which they said that they did not have a single combat commander and no equipment and, thus, they were sent “to certain death.”

On February 24, Russia announced the start of a special operation to protect Donbass. The operation began against the backdrop of the situation in the Donbass that worsened in mid-February. The authorities of the DPR and LPR reported increased shelling by Ukrainian troops, announced the evacuation of civilians in the Russian Federation and asked for recognition of independence. On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a corresponding decree.
