The expert spoke about the liquidation of the new “cauldron” in the Donbass

In the zone of the hottest battles now, the first of several small boilers rapidly “collapsed”, and this is a great success, military expert Vladislav Shurygin told Izvestia.

The Svetlodarsk Bulge was well fortified, a strong defense line was built around Svetlodarsk. During an assault on the forehead, it would take a long time to gnaw through it, and the city would suffer. But due to the current threat of a full-scale encirclement, the Ukrainian troops themselves fled from there, leaving their reliable positions, ”Shurygin explained.

According to him, the settlement almost did not suffer, unlike those for which there were fierce street battles.

The expert added that the same scenario, but on a larger scale, is planned to be repeated with Severodonetsk and Lisichansk.

“These are much larger cities and they can be defended for a long time, as the example of Rubizhny showed. Therefore, now the allied forces are advancing to cut the Lisichansk-Bakhmut highway. It is already under artillery fire and the supply of the Ukrainian group is extremely difficult,” the military specialist noted.

The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has only a few days left, the source of Izvestia believes, to decide whether to leave the troops in these cities and doom them to encirclement and captivity according to the Mariupol scenario, or withdraw them from the emerging boiler and give these settlements hope for a normal life.

“The Russian Armed Forces, unlike the Ukrainian ones, do not strike at civilian infrastructure where civilians may be. The detected firing positions and military targets of the enemy are hit by high-precision weapons. Silence regimes are announced and humanitarian corridors are being created for residents to leave the surrounded settlements, ”said Sergei Shoigu, head of the Russian military department, at a meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

Of course, this slows down the pace of the offensive, but this is done deliberately in order to avoid civilian casualties, he said.
