The military of the Russian Federation began to restore the bridge destroyed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Kharkov

Servicemen of the Central Military District (CVO) have begun to restore a road bridge in the Kharkiv region, which collapsed due to an air strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) during a special operation to protect Donbass. This was announced on May 28 by the Ministry of Defense (MO) of Russia.

As clarified by the Central Military District, it was decided to start restoring the bridge after an appropriate request from local authorities and residents.

Before the repair work, the servicemen carried out work on technical cover.

Then, as the press service reported, the Russian military of the Central Military District, as part of the repair work, strengthened the coastal abutment of the bridge, carried out welding work on it, laid concrete slabs and restored the spans.

It is noted that the restored bridge will speed up the delivery of food and connect the two parts of the village.

Earlier, on May 24, Izvestia correspondent Yaroslav Bogat showed the consequences of the collapse of the bridge and the preparation of the Russian military to restore it.

According to the journalist, this strategically important section of the railway track was destroyed by Ukrainian aircraft. The bridge was blown up by the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the retreat, and now the Russian military, in order to fully restore the communication, need to dismantle this structure by means of an explosion.

Bogat added that after the restoration of the bridge, humanitarian aid could go in trains, in addition, it would be possible to ensure the return of the civilian population to the liberated city.

On May 21, the head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, proposed sending captured Nazis to restore the Donbass. A day earlier, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin announced the creation by the Russian government of a special headquarters for the restoration of the liberated territories of Ukraine.

On May 1, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DPR began to restore the infrastructure of Mariupol. With the help of special equipment, rescuers began to dismantle the rubble in residential areas, to dismantle the interfloor floors of reinforced concrete structures.

Large-scale destruction of Donbass was formed during a special military operation, which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24. Moscow explained that its tasks include the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine. The decision was made against the backdrop of an aggravation in mid-February of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
