The Ministry of Defense of Russia showed the work of signalmen of the Western Military District on a special operation

In the course of a special operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass, specialists from the communications troops of the Western Military District (ZVO) provide reliable communications between the formations. The footage of the combat work of Russian signalmen was shown by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The defense department noted the high professional training of employees, which is necessary for the implementation of strategic tasks.

Military signalmen have been working around the clock for the past three months and in any conditions ensure the prompt exchange of information between command posts and units. The success of commanding troops largely depends on internal communication.

Servicemen of the Signal Corps use all available data transmission channels: secure satellite, radio relay, mobile and radio.

On the eve of the Defense Ministry demonstrated the performance of fire missions by crews of 152-mm howitzers “Msta-B” ZVO. With the help of heavy guns, artillerymen destroy armored vehicles and fortified positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Volleys are fired at dozens of targets at a distance of 10-15-20 or more kilometers.

Earlier, on May 22, signalmen of the Russian Guard spoke with Izvestia. The military spoke about their work on the territory of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR).

On April 3, the Ministry of Defense spoke about the tasks of Russian military signalmen during a special operation in the Donbass. Ekaterina, the operator of the communication station, explained that she and her colleagues personally control the quality of communication, monitor the serviceability of the equipment, and constantly maintain contact with the radio operators of the units.

On February 24, Russia launched an operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass. Moscow explained that the tasks of the special operation included demilitarization and denazification, the implementation of which is necessary to ensure the security of Russia. The decision was made against the backdrop of aggravation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military. The authorities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics announced the evacuation of residents to the Russian Federation, and on February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree recognizing the independence of the DPR and LPR.
