A cryptocurrency plugin has recently appeared in the WordPress repository. DePay Donations is the world’s first open source plugin that allows sites to accept P2P donations in cryptocurrencies. A feature is the automatic decentralized conversion of incoming donations into tokens selected by the recipient. The plugin is installed for free.
Owners of WordPress sites typically use two different ways to accept cryptocurrency transfers. The first is a centralized gateway. In this case, users must trust the intermediaries who accept donations on behalf of the recipient. In addition, gateways have a limited range of cryptocurrencies that they can accept.
The second way is to publish the addresses of wallets immediately on the site. But it takes time, because users have to keep track of different wallets at once and they have to convert token to hedge against volatility.
