Top Microsoft executive accused of watching VR porn in front of employees

Microsoft top manager Alex Kimpan, who oversees the MR (mixed reality) direction, was accused of watching VR porn at work with employees. About it writes Insider, citing two sources in the company.

According to the interlocutors of the publication, Kimpan is also accused of harassing employees. Current and former employees allege that the top manager got away with this behavior on numerous occasions. As an example, they recalled an episode of watching an obscene VR video in the office. The video showed girls in skimpy clothes engaging in a sexualized pillow fight.

One of those present in an Insider comment described the footage as VR porn. According to sources, the Kipman case is just one part of a common pattern of behavior by the company’s management, which also includes verbal abuse and sexual harassment.

Microsoft did not confirm or deny this information, but emphasized that it thoroughly investigates each case and takes clear action if the allegation is confirmed. Kipman did not respond to the publication’s request for comment.

In May 2021, it became known that Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft Corporation, being married, tried several times to woo the women working for him in the company and the charitable foundation. The corporation’s management found out about Gates’ relationship with colleagues back in 2008 and recommended that he stop it. In 2020, the businessman resigned from the board of directors of Microsoft, however, it was argued that this decision was not related to allegations of harassment.
