Tuning studio Castagna Milano shows a one-of-a-kind Peugeot 308 GT

One of the oldest car manufacturers in the world, Carrozzeria Castagna Milano is still gaining strength. The company demonstrated a new project.

Prepared for the Milan Mobile Show this week, the one-of-a-kind Peugeot 308 GT Castagna has come out, becoming a “tribute to the green”.

Made in an intriguing two-tone color, the car is painted in glossy forest green. Around the rear wheel arches and on the sill panels, it is painted in a much pale matte green hue.

The effect of the scheme is to highlight the lines of the body, pressed into the Peugeot steel, and give the rear a glossy green hue of visual intrigue thanks to the striped matte green line stretching through the rear door.

In the salon Castagna Milano uses leather to the fullest. This is a tribute to the green color: the ceiling, front racks and the top of the instrument panel are upholstered in green suede, which is emphasized by green carbon fiber panels.

Below on the dashboard and door cards, the green color is complemented by gray suede in combination with caramel leather. In the end, it is inferior to the dark brown leather with rich grain, which can be found on the seat cushions, along the door frame and on the steering wheel hub.

Castagna Milano does not mention the modification of the transmission. The flagship Peugeot 308 GT is equipped with a hybrid plug-in power unit that combines a 180-horsepower electric motor with 109 hp. The 12.4 kWh battery provides 58 km of fully electric travel.

Meanwhile, Carrozzeria Castagna was founded in 1849 when Carlo Castagna bought the Ferrari bodybuilding business. His first car with an internal combustion engine was a Benz ATV.
