JSC Ukrtelecom has restored 100% of the optical Internet network in Kyiv region, the company’s press service said on Monday.
Ukrtelecom has completed the restoration of the telecommunications infrastructure in the Kyiv region damaged during the fighting and occupation by Russian troops. Working in coordination with the State Special Communications Service, the Armed Forces and SES units, since the beginning of April, the operator’s emergency crews have performed more than 100 repairs at their technological sites and made 126 trips to damaged communication lines, “the statement said.
According to the company, engineers used about 4.5 thousand meters of new fiber-optic cable to restore access networks, replaced 20 units. decommissioned or completely destroyed station and line facilities.
In total, the restored optical Internet network covers 35.2 thousand households in various districts of Kyiv region.
In addition, Ukrtelecom resumed the operation of networks to provide services to social infrastructure facilities: medical institutions, administrative services and institutions in the settlements of the region, in particular in Borodyanka, Bucha, Irpen, Makarov.
