At the end of 2021, EPAM had nearly 60,000 employees worldwide. Of these, 52,617 are the so-called production specialists, that is, the staff of the company who work on IT projects. These are not only developers, but also business analysts, managers, designers and other specialists. So, according to Dobkin, about 30% of production specialists will remain in Ukraine and Belarus until the end of 2022, that is, about 15.8 thousand people.

According to the president of EPAM, the reductions also mean that at least 6,000 employees of the company will be relocated from Ukraine and Belarus by the end of the year. Now, according to Dobkin, there are several specific regions where employees are sent.

“One of the key locations is Poland. We also relocate employees to the countries of Central Asia, Turkey and Serbia. In some situations, people had to be transported very quickly. The final destination could be the United States or Canada – it depends on the people and their work skills, ”said the head of EPAM.

In April, it became known that EPAM was hiring again in Ukraine. At the same time, the company said that “several thousand” EPAM employees left the territory of Ukraine, but did not specify in which offices they are employed today. It is also worth noting that before the war, Ukraine was the largest location for EPAM specialists.
