US confirms hacker attacks in support of Ukraine

For the first time in the United States, they confirmed that they are committing hacker attacks in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. They are carried out legally in accordance with Pentagon policy.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to an interview with the head of the US Cyber Command, General Paul Nakasone, to Sky News.

According to him, these operations were offensive, defensive and informational. However, he did not name what kind of “hacking actions” the US military is doing.

“My job is to provide a range of options to the secretary of defense and the president, which I do,” the general added.

Nakasone also stressed that in the United States every day they calculate the possibility of a cyber attack on Russia, so they try to be proactive – they identify Russian hackers and their intentions.

Recall that in Germany they said that the number of Russian cyber attacks has increased significantly, which “extremely strains the situation.”
