WhatsApp begins beta testing of the history of chat history with Android on iOS

Last year, the WhatsApp messenger added the opportunity to transfer the history of chats from iOS to Android, starting with Samsung smartphones (in August) and, ultimately, making it available for all Android 12 devices (in October).

Today it became known that WhatsApp began beta testing of reverse transfer from Android to iOS. This means that it will pass for some time before the option is available to everyone. But if you use the WhatsApp beta version, here are some key requirements:

Android 5 (lollipop) or newer, WhatsApp (Android) 2.22.7.74 or newer;
iOS 15.5, WhatsApp (iOS) 2.22.10.70 or newer;
The same phone number as on the old smartphone;
It is possible only with the initial IPhone settings.

The transfer is carried out using the Apple Move to iOS application and occurs locally. This means that the old and new smartphones should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and both should be connected to the charger.

Please note that the data on the Android device will not be deleted automatically, you can do it yourself later. In addition, while the messages will be transmitted, single -rat payment messages and your WhatsApp call history will not be transferred to the iPhone.
