The WhatsApp messenger team is testing the text editing feature. This feature should appear in beta versions of Android, iOS, and PC applications. Interestingly, the developers announced it 5 years ago, but within a few days abandoned their plans. However, the issue of editing messages has been raised again, and now this feature has been launched.
According to the profile resource WABetaInfo, the edit button has already appeared in some members of the WhatsApp program for Android. The new feature allows you to make changes to the text part of the message by holding it down and selecting the appropriate menu option.
It is unclear whether users will be able to edit text messages at any time, or whether it will take some time. At this stage, there are no restrictions, but with the implementation of this feature of the stable version of WhatsApp, everything can change. In the near future, users of the beta version of the application for iOS and PC will be able to edit messages.
