Xiaomi to Launch Redmi K50 Ultra Smartphone with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Chip and 120Hz 2K Screen

Network sources report that the Chinese company Xiaomi is designing a powerful Redmi K50 Ultra smartphone on the latest Qualcomm hardware platform.

We are talking about using the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It combines one Kryo Prime core with a clock speed of up to 3.2 GHz, three Kryo Performance cores with a frequency of up to 2.8 GHz and four Kryo Efficiency cores with a frequency of up to 2.0 GHz.

The novelty is credited with the presence of a 2K display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. There is no information about the camera system at the moment.

Smartphone Redmi K50 Ultra will be able to function in 5G networks. We are talking about support for fast charging with a power of 120 watts. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 platform will provide compatibility with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless networks.

The official presentation of the novelty will take place in the second half of this year, but more exact dates have not yet been announced.

It was previously said that a total of 1.380 billion smartphones will be released in 2022. However, later analysts called a figure of 1.366 billion units. This will correspond to a 2.5% increase compared to 2021.
