Zaporozhye region switched to the Moscow clock system. This was announced on Friday, May 27, by Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civilian administration (CAA) of the region.
“No more landmarks for Kiev time and transitions to winter and summer time. The clock hands will no longer be translated, ”he told RIA Novosti.
Earlier on Friday, it became known that residents of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions will be issued Russian passports, taking into account the experience of Crimea.
On the eve of the Zaporozhye region, about 30 people applied to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region to enroll in a queue for obtaining Russian citizenship.
A day earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on simplifying the acquisition of Russian citizenship in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. Then the authorities of the Zaporozhye region reported that they were preparing the infrastructure for organizing the procedure for issuing Russian passports to residents.
Also on Wednesday, it was reported that the Zaporozhye region will head for joining Russia. According to Vladimir Rogov, a representative of the regional administration, the plans are to create a full-fledged subject within the Russian Federation – the Zaporozhye Republic. He noted that the population of the Zaporozhye region is “absolutely Russian in mentality.”
On May 18, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin announced that it was planned to launch the maximum turnover of the ruble in all the liberated territories of Ukraine. At the same time, he said that residents of the Zaporozhye region would receive pensions and salaries in rubles this month. He added that Zaporozhye will be supported in the development of agricultural production, industry, the region will not remain “in the shadows.”
